Ellen Martinak

Is the Associate Director of Bridging the Gaps (BTG). Ellen earned an BS in education from West Chester University and a MS from the University of Pennsylvania School of Graduate Education in Statistics, Measurement, Assessment, and Research Technology (SMART). As director she drives and implements the collaborative model of BTG which includes stakeholders from many sectors, including community organizations, students, alumni and faculty from multiple professional disciplines, academic health centers/universities, and funders. She is skilled in development, fundraising, evaluation/measurement, analysis, and compliance oversight. Ellen’s work focuses on leading the BTG initiative, convening people and organizations from multiple sectors to explore how the program can serve vulnerable populations in the present while training future health professionals to understand and have the tools to address the social, economic, and environmental factors that influence health.
