Dr. Hasshan Batts, DHSc, MSW, is a keynote speaker, community epidemiologist, community health journalist, and tri-sector systems leader whose work bridges health, social services, education, and community organizations. He is Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of Preventive Measures Foundation, founder of Prison Survivors Network, and co-founder of the Watson-Batts School of Construction.
Dr. Batts hosts the award-winning Let’s Talk on WDIY 88.1 FM, the Lehigh Valley’s NPR station, and Morning Medicine on WNHH 103.5 FM in New Haven, Connecticut.
Drawing on professional expertise and lived experience, Dr. Batts focuses on how trauma, violence, incarceration, and fragmented systems shape people’s lives, and how stronger relationships and coordinated support can create pathways to healing.
He is the author of Engagement Suppression and Radical Welcome, and co-editor of Beyond Equity and Inclusion in Conflict Resolution: Recentering the Profession.
