The documentary is directed and written by Peabody Award Winner André Robert Lee, narrated by acclaimed actor Wendell Pierce, and music by celebrated composer King Britt from his collaboration with Tyshawn Sorey.
The film follows an interprofessional group of health profession students as they work with community organizations and confront the realities of health inequity and captures the program’s unique ability to foster meaningful connections across diverse cultures & the transformative self-realizations that results.

Screenings include the 78-minute runtime, followed by a discussion facilitated by the director, André Robert Lee, with potential to include other discussants from around the BTG Network.

Knowing his ability to effect change through filmmaking and media, the Bridging the Gaps (BTG) Program approached filmmaker André Robert Lee about making a documentary that tells the story of Bridging the Gaps, a 35 year program linking the training of health and social service professionals with the provision of health related service in under resourced and marginalized communities.
